our surroundings

 no parking

Nobody really follows the road rules. Everyone is aware and they just get and go where they need to. You get cut off and you cut off. It will take me a while before I drive here.

We found our Sam's Club and we are now members. These tall fences surround almost everything here.
Fun little area exploring a different way home.
Sugar cane. Lots of sugar cane is grown in Brazil. That is on reason why their pop and food is so awesome!

This a good representation of the neighborhoods in Campinas. They are fenced off...
and gated. This is a typical neighborhood around here.

This is our house from a distance. The three tall buildings is the complex where we will be living. We should be moving in this week. We have come to realize that if we don't learn patience here I don't know that we ever will. The culture here is extremely slow pace.

The Extra is where we go quite often. There is a gate to drive into the store as well. It is a mini Wal-Mart. It even has a McDonalds inside. It is going to be quite easy giving up fast food. It costs just as much as a nice sit down Brazilian BBQ place. A good place to kill bad habits!
"Pare" means Stop. I have yet to see anyone stop at a stop sign here. They are used more like yield signs.
A little grocery on the side of the road.
 A little airport in Campinas.
