flash back

Oh how I wish I could have gotten out and taken great pictures of this area. I had to take pictures from the car as we drove through. It isn't really safe pulling out my nice camera. Out of all the things I have experienced so far in Brazil this one is at the top. This is one of Dev's areas that he served on his mission. It was so so cool to drive through the streets that he walked 10 years ago. Such a neat feeling, humbling really.

This was where Dev and his companion would leapfrog across the freeway so they could get to where they were going faster. (It is actually common to cross the freeway here. I have seen multiple people doing it already)

The phone booth that he would confirm multiple appointments. He said it sucked when the handicap side was only available...it was a tight squeeze crouching down making a call...especially in the pouring ran. Quite a site, I am sure. haha
He would stop often at this bakery for bread.

HIS HOME!! This is no longer housing, it is a store. He lived next to a laundry mat. Lots of emotions driving through this area.
 The Church House.
Such a priceless experience!

  1. What an experience of a lifetime! I bet Devin has so many stories that come to life as you get to experience this with him. Was his a walking/biking mission or did they have a car? Is that where you'll go to church? I am so glad you have internet. . .it makes you not seem so far away! Give everyone hugs for me! xoxo

    1. Yeah its really neat! He was a walking missionary no bikes or cars. No, that isn't our church, it was the church he went to in that area. I am glad we have internet as well. It helps to keep connected with people in the US as well.
