Feliz Dia dos Pais!

This weekend was Father's Day in Brazil. It was a fun filled weekend. Saturday the church had a get together for the dads. They played soccer and after we BBQ'd. It was awesome. Sunday the kids sang in church. Connor spoke (in Portuguese) before all the kids sang and he did so good....proud parent moment! After church a kind couple from the ward invited us along with other Americans in our ward for lunch. It was delicious.

They do not take birthdays here lightly. This party was for a little boy turning 1. Devin works with his dad. The kids (and adult kids) had a blast! Devin says you know you have enough kids when you can fill an amusement ride.

Not too much going on around here. Just taking it day by day. "Focus on what you can control" has been my motto lately. It is something I have to remind myself everyday. I have realized there is a lot I can control, but there is also a lot I can't and I can't let it control how I feel or act.

The kids have been so fun. I love each stage they are at. Connor is really starting to get an opinion about his appearance. Its funny. He wants his hair long like all his friends and when he combs his hair is has to lay right by his eye. He is so funny to watch. He also makes a lot of designs in the foggy shower doors. I love it. He is quite the little dancer, actor and sweetest guy. He is so sweet and kind to babies...along with being extremely observant.
Presli loves to put sparklies in her hair (a leave in conditionar). She is always saying the cutest things so randomly. Claudia is her new make-believe friend. I am embracing it. This age is so magical. She keeps us on our toes. It's appealing to be big like Connor and little like Dawson. She is torn between the two. Lately she loves taking care of her babies and Dawson, fillings bags of random toys, changing clothes and shoes a million times a day, and being my biggest helper. She is my little buddy and I love it!
Dawson is the sweetest little guy. He waves and blows kisses to everyone. All the ladies here ADORE him! He has an obsession with balls and shoes. He is so fun to watch. We just bought him some flip flops without the backs and he puts them on and takes them off over and over. He goes to the sliding doors and waves, says "tchau", blows kisses and walks away. He cracks me up. He is picking up on English and Portuguese words. He is my little Brazillian baby.
