Paraty...day 1

I was just about ready to post and I lost everything. I am so sad. It has taken me a while to get our trip posted because there are so many pictures to choose from. We had a great time.

We left Friday to a cute little town in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Paraty. It is an old Portugues colonial and Brazilian Imperial town. Paraty runs along the cost line of Rio de Janeiro.

Here we go on our first road trip in Brazil. We were all excited for our little get away.

 Connor compared our trip with Hawaii...these tunnels were one thing similar that Connor loved.

There were so many little beach fronts along the way...probably 15+ we chose a few to stop at and let the kids play. We all left sandy, wet, and happy.

 ....and we have entered the Rain Forest.

 We arrived at our cute little hotel in the middle of the rain forest. Right next to a beautiful river. Everything was gorgeous green, wet, and extremely humid.

 This was our room right on the river. Those are not ropes....they are vines. Like George of the Jungle vines. We are in the Rain Forest! Pretty cool.
