Mother's Day is one of those precious holidays. I honestly love LOVE being a mom. Those little smiles hugs and kisses make all the poop, tantrums, and boogers so worth it. I can't really describe the look in those eyes when they discover or experience something for the first time. It's my favorite.
We went out last night when Dev got home from his work retreat. Hit our favorite churrascaria and then the mall. We found the kids some beds and Dev got me these Brazilian made shoes. The havaianas are so comfy I am so excited. It is so great just "being" as a family. If that makes sense.
This morning Dev woke up early to help run mother's day gifts around to all the inactive ladies in the ward. Brazilians take this holiday seriously. Another love of mine for Brazil. He came back with this basket of lilies and chocolates...my fav!
...and the ward loves their moms as well. They gave each mom this gift basket. I am excited to try the Brazilian treats.
A nice chill day. It was so nice outside, so we went to the pool and hung out as a family....
...and Dev BBQ'd. It has been such a nice Mother's Day. I am blessed to be a mom to 3 amazing kiddos. Love them and my hubby more than words can say.
I also wanted to recognize two mother's in our lives. Both women who love God and their families. I am grateful for all my mom has taught me in life. I am also grateful to my mother-in-law for raising a son full of love for life and hard work. If it weren't for these two women we wouldn't be where we are today. Love you both!
