CPF - Another step closer to becoming a citizen in Brazil

Everything is becoming more normal here. I forget to take pictures because things aren't as shocking anymore. I kinda miss it. I forgot to bring my camera so phone photos will have to do. I am grateful for modern technology. I have really enjoyed documenting our journey thus far with pictures.
So...this is on our way to the federal building to get CPF's for me and kids. It is like our social security cards in the US.
I tried getting a picture of the crazy motorcyclists here. We were watching the news when we got to the federal building and they said they have about 1400 accidents on motorbikes every month. That was just in this area.

Just a few pictures to show the streets and business buildings here in Brazil.

Thanks to my friend, Victoria, we were able to leave the kids. It was so nice to not have them there while waiting for our number and then waiting for our CPF. She was a life saver!

I can't not post without the latest sunset photos. Muita bonita!! (very beautiful)

I was on pinterest a couple days ago and two quotes really stood out to me. This journey was not only perfect timing in life, but it has been a major blessing. God is good. He is aware of each of us and the potential we have. Here are the quotes:

"If you want something you've never had, then you've got to do something you've never done." I didn't necessarily want something I didn't have, but I have always wanted to learn a language but I was too afraid. I now realize all you have to do is start doing it. Nothing is holding you back except yourself.

"When you have reached a level in your life where you are not challenged and have done things you wanted to do, you must reposition yourself to step up to the next level and keep discovering your potential." I love this. We all can be as great as we want to be. We all have so much potential if we will allow ourselves to learn.

And last of all...."We must take adventures to know where we truly belong." Oh how I love this quote. This describes perfectly how I feel about Brazil. It is a crazy awesome adventure and I am so glad we are here.....because I am loving it! A part of me will always belong here...and I have only been here one month.

  1. I really enjoyed reading those quotes. They are very good and I think that we all forget at times that we can't increase anymore, unless we put ourselves in different circumstances. (and allow it) God is good. He is always aware of our needs, and I personally am very grateful for that. I LOVE those muita bonita sunsets. Gorgeous!
